What we heart: The sculptural Champa tree designed by Alex Davis crafted from stainless steel with a cascading waterfall beneath, serves as the central feature, blurring the lines between nature and the artistic interior.
The client envisioned a space where the inside merged with the outdoors seamlessly. Their inspiration was the traditional courtyard house typically found in South India. However, they wanted their home to be an amalgamation of traditional architecture and contemporary aesthetics. The three-story architectural marvel thus seamlessly blends modern luxury with the embrace of nature.
Imagine stepping into a serene oasis; a stainless-steel champa tree, its leaves a vibrant tapestry of moss, cascades over a soothing waterfall right in the heart of the home. Floor-to-ceiling windows dissolve the barrier between the meticulously landscaped garden and the expansive living space bathed in natural light. Neutral tones throughout are punctuated with bursts of emerald and ruby, echoing the surrounding greenery and creating a sophisticated yet playful ambiance. A dramatic stone wall stands in stark contrast, adding a touch of rustic elegance to this symphony of modern design.
