People have different reasons for their fondness towards the countryside homes. Mine was the freshly made aam panna, the open space to run around like wild, or simply that one tree in the backyard I climbed every summer (perhaps my only memory of being close to nature). Reasons may vary from person to person, but the affinity seems to remain constant.
Villa 117 at Fairway Golf Villas in Naya Raipur, Chhattisgarh, reminds me of those carefree days. Designed by Principal Architects Sonal Agrawal and Piyush Agrawal of Spearhead Design Consultants, this sprawling villa dares to offer a taste of the countryside amid the monotony of city life. Spanning 7,000 sq ft, this weekend home draws inspiration from global design trends, blending elements of Goan and Spanish design.
The heart of this villa is its expansive living and dining area: open, spacious, and bright. A countryside home is meant to provide respite from constant alertness, and this home accomplishes just that. To keep you energized and engaged, vibrant colors abound. The living room offers views of the vast golf course, while the dining space overlooks the personal swimming pool.
The grey toned flooring visually connects different spaces in this home. The art keeps one hooked. Once inside, this art-filled home feels akin to progressing through levels in a treasure hunt. Art, they say, reflects the owner’s personality, and here at this villa, it’s open for interpretation. The seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces creates a sense of connection with nature, making it the perfect setting for family reunions and entertaining guests.
The kitchen here is a culinary enthusiast’s delight. Sleek countertops and modern appliances coexist, offering ample storage space for cookware and utensils. The kitchen island serves as a versatile workspace and casual dining area, while large windows overlook the landscaped garden.
Natural light streams into every room of this home. Bedrooms decorated in pastels and featuring canopy beds with sheer curtains create a garden-fresh ambiance. Each bedroom has a balcony that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The en-suite bathrooms are designed to give you a perfect spa-like feel.
“While the overall theme remains the same throughout the villa, each space has been meticulously dealt with individually, to provide a variety of experience for the home owners in each space during their staycation” says Sonal and Piyush Agrawal.
But the best part of this home is not even inside the four walls. The landscaped garden with colourful blooms and the pool with the gazebo are highlights. The pool is perfect for water games with family and friends. As for those, like me, who are afraid of water, dip your legs in the chilly waters, take out your favorite read, and don’t forget your most comfortable resort wear. Because even at home, we believe in being dressed to impress for every occasion.
