Curved enough to pique interest, contoured enough to lose a minute in appreciation. This 2,000 sq ft home by Rahul Das Menon and Ojas Chaudhari of Studio TAB in Pune explores an unapologetic use of patterns. The mushy grey flows all along, marking the walls and laying a canvas for an ethno contemporary feel.
The living room mixes grey hues with micro-concrete, cane, wood and glass. Athangudi tiles add a contemporary twist, while antique hammered iron coffee tables and teak-framed cane couches bring traditional charm. And definetly the ongoing play of arched walls.
In the dining room, a log table with an industrial metal base is surrounded by ergonomic wooden chairs. A cane bench adds an Indian touch, complemented by brass pendant lights and a teak arch cabinet, maintaining the design’s continuity.
An industrial-style partition separates the study from the dining area. Dark walls with open shelves and a cosy window seating area create a productive atmosphere.

Light grey cabinets with European frames and a white quartz countertop contrast with a calming blue fish-scale backsplash. Fluted glass cabinets and brass knobs add a touch of elegance, guided by a wooden arch.
The primary bedroom features an all-white palette with teak, brass and cane details. A serene seating nook by the window and brass planters enhances the room.
In the guest bedroom, pops of blue and yellow create a lively atmosphere. Cane wardrobes and glass accents add practicality and style.
This Pune residence beautifully merges modern elements with timeless Indian design, creating spaces that are both stylish and culturally rich.
