La Hermosa by AND Studio encompasses a sprawling 3,300 sq ft, meticulously designed to cater to the unique needs and desires of its occupants. Every space within the residence has been carefully tailored, paying a lot of attention to detail. The result is a harmonious blend of captivating living spaces, curated color schemes, exquisite finishes, and thoughtfully designed lighting, catering to various moods and preferences.
“The client’s brief for La Hermosa was to create a residential interior design project that reflects the unique personalities of each family member, with distinct character and mood in every room. The brief emphasized the need for attention to detail and the creation of living spaces catering to different moods and activities. This influenced the overall concept by placing a strong emphasis on personalization and individuality. The design team carefully considered the clients’ preferences and needs, ensuring that each space reflected the personality of the family member it belonged to. The attention to detail, utilization of color schemes, finishes, and lighting, as well as the incorporation of various elements, were all influenced by the client’s brief to create a personalized haven,” shares principal architect Love Choudhary.
The project does not follow a specific theme throughout its entirety. Instead, each space within the home has its own distinct character and mood, tailored to the individual family member’s personality and preferences. However, there are consistent elements of sophistication, elegance, and individuality that tie the overall design together.
Even the chosen color palette is primarily neutral and calming, with off-white beige hues on the walls and furniture in grey brown tones. This neutral base allows for the incorporation of pops of color in specific areas, such as teal and blush pink in the informal lounge and beige grey velvet fabrics with blue piping in the formal dining area. The color palette strikes a balance by providing a soothing and cohesive backdrop while also infusing vibrant and refreshing elements into the design.
The layout of the house has been thoughtfully planned to optimize functionality and maximize the harmonious circulation of natural light and air. The main living area sets the stage with its serene and peaceful ambiance, enveloping guests in a cocoon of plush comfort. Privacy has been gracefully integrated into the design, with dividers and partitions that strike a delicate balance between personal space and the overall cohesiveness of the home. The bathrooms, a sanctuary of refinement and sophistication, showcase exquisite marble finishes, accurately matched white marble flooring, and walls.
“One of the main challenges we faced while designing this project was creating divisions within the large, empty hall on the basement floor while still maintaining an open and spacious feel. The client’s brief was to transform the space into a dark den for entertaining guests, which required us to carefully balance the desired ambiance with functionality. To address this challenge, we opted for a design that evoked a man cave atmosphere,” shares design director of AND Studio Arushi Bansal.
Each space within La Hermosa has been curated to ensure longevity and durability. The selection of sturdy and long-lasting materials guarantees that the design ages gracefully, serving as a testament to enduring elegance. La Hermosa in EMAAR Marbella exemplifies the epitome of multigenerational living, seamlessly intertwining private and communal spaces to provide an unparalleled living experience.
