The Black Arch by Natasha Shah is a vibrant tapestry of contemporary living

In the bustling city of Pune, nestled in the upscale Verde locality of Kalyani Nagar, stands a remarkable testament to contemporary living – The Black Arch. This 2900 sq.ft. apartment, situated on the 14th floor, not only boasts a strategic proximity to the airport but also offers a breathtaking view of aircraft takeoffs and landings from its beautiful balcony adjacent to the dining area. Commissioned by a dynamic young couple, this 4BHK apartment was entrusted to the creative genius of Between Walls, a prominent design firm based in Pune, led by Principal Designer Natasha Shah.

The clients, full of vigor and with vibrant yet sober personalities, presented a unique challenge to the design team. Their request was succinct – “Reflect our personalities into the space; this is our first home as a couple.” With two adorable girls sharing similar tastes, the design team was handed a blank canvas, an opportunity to craft a living space that would resonate with the essence of the family.

The design philosophy of The Black Arch revolves around a rich spectrum of colors, forms, and materials. This diversity was inspired by the vivid personalities of the clients, evident from their first impression on the design team. The designers embraced this diversity and seamlessly integrated it into the fabric of the home, creating a space that exudes vibrancy and warmth.

One of the notable features of the apartment is the open layout concept implemented through strategic civil changes. This not only enhances the sense of spaciousness but also fosters a feeling of oneness within the family. The design team at Between Walls believes in creating homes that are timeless and clutter-free, emphasizing a harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality.

The thoughtful integration of colors throughout the residence serves as a visual feast, each shade carefully chosen to resonate with the personalities of the inhabitants. The contemporary design ethos of The Black Arch is not just confined to its aesthetic appeal; it extends to the belief that a home should transcend time and be a sanctuary free from unnecessary clutter.

The Black Arch stands as a testament to the successful fusion of individuality and shared harmony. Natasha Shah and her team at Between Walls have masterfully translated the clients’ personalities into a vibrant, contemporary home, making it a sanctuary that reflects the journey of a young family in their first home together. The interplay of colors, the openness of the layout, and the commitment to timelessness make The Black Arch a noteworthy example of modern living in the heart of Pune.
