In today’s day and age creating a workspace that not only meets but exceeds expectations in enhancing employee productivity is a pivotal goal. Akshat Bindal uses colour in this 6,500 sq ft Rajasthan office to make it vibrant and energetic.
The primary aim was clear: to introduce a bold use of colour that would not only highlight but define the office’s identity. This innovative approach sought to revolutionise the traditional office setting into a dynamic space conducive to creativity and collaboration.
The office layout was crafted to incorporate various functional zones essential for a thriving work environment. Open workstations, collaborative areas, meeting rooms, a cafeteria and a reception area integrated into the design. Each functional area was carefully tailored to serve its purpose while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic.
A standout feature of this design was the strategic use of colour. Each cabin within the workspace was distinguished by a unique colour scheme, not only for visual appeal but also for practicality in navigation and identity. These vibrant hues were thoughtfully infused into the environment through elements such as acoustic panels, carpets and even air conditioning units. A striking cyan cable tray ran through the office, connecting all spaces and serving as both a practical and aesthetic focal point.
The cafeteria, a central hub of social interaction and rejuvenation, was designed with a commitment to sustainability. Bamboo was prominently featured in the ceiling and walls, not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for its eco-friendly properties. Customised curtains were employed to enhance both the comfort of the space and its energy efficiency, effectively mitigating heat and glare while contributing to the overall visual harmony.
While vibrant colours defined much of the workspace, a deliberate contrast was achieved through the use of a neutral, calming colour palette in certain areas. This balance ensured that while the environment remained energetic and stimulating, it also provided moments of calm and focus where needed.

To further enhance the well-being of employees and imbue the workspace with a sense of freshness, an abundance of indoor plants was strategically placed throughout. This biophilic design approach not only added a natural element to the office but also contributed to improved air quality and a sense of connection with the outdoors.
The transformation of this office space exemplifies how innovative design can profoundly impact employee well-being and productivity. By integrating bright colours, sustainable elements and biophilic design principles, the workspace not only met the owner’s expectations but exceeded them. It successfully created an environment that is both visually stimulating and functionally efficient—a place where creativity thrives, collaboration flourishes and employees feel inspired to do their best work.
