Maison et Histoires: A chronicle of life’s journey through design concocted by TAG X Eclectic

In the heart of Gurugram, a 4000 sq. ft. apartment stands as a testament to the intertwining of literature, art, and life. Maison et Histoires, designed by TAG X Eclectic, founded by Ambar Sharma and Ankita Taluja, unfolds a narrative of the client’s journey through the years. A canvas that merges modern design with the drama of life’s precious moments, this home is a virtual walk through time and emotion.

Concept and Design Process

The client’s brief sought a house that recreated life’s journey, adorned with thousands of books, paintings, and art collected globally. TAG X Eclectic meticulously translated this vision, intertwining imagination with reality. The design team brainstormed, sketched, and created mood boards to capture the essence of the client’s desires. The result: a stunning embodiment of life’s moments, cleverly portrayed through literature and imagery.

Virtual Walk Through

As you walk through, the narrative unfolds. Black aluminum shutters with fluted glass usher you into different chapters. Oak and ash finish wood, Italian marble, and wooden flooring weave together a rich tapestry. Plush fabrics and ceiling-mounted black finish COBs provide the perfect backdrop for the story that unfolds.

Color Palette and Sustainability

Shades of Oak, ash, white, grey, and blue dance harmoniously. The color palette balances warmth and modernity, creating a space that is both inviting and contemporary. Sustainability features are seamlessly integrated, reflecting TAG X Eclectic’s commitment to eco-conscious design.

Design Ethos and USP

TAG X Eclectic’s design ethos is evident – the home speaks about its inhabitants. Each space tells a story, capturing the essence of its owners. The unique selling proposition lies in the accommodation of 2000 books, a plethora of paintings, a family picture wall, and a reflection of everything that defines its inhabitants.

Challenges and Solutions

The challenge of providing ample storage without overwhelming the space was met with finesse. Neatly placed storage solutions maintain the openness of the house, preserving its original character while ensuring aesthetic appeal.

Maison et Histoires stands not just as a residence but as a living, breathing testament to life’s journey. TAG X Eclectic has artfully translated the client’s dreams into reality, creating a home that is a celebration of literature, art, and the cherished moments that define us. This apartment is not just a dwelling; it’s a canvas that captures the very essence of life.
