How retro glamour defines this 2,500 sq ft Mumbai home by Arriva Designs

“This residential project is more than just a home, it is a tribute to the art of leadership. With spaces designed to inspire confidence and ambition, it showcases a blend of strength and elegance, where every room is poised to support a life of influence”, explains Ar. Aniruddha Nafrey, Principal Architect at Arriva Designs. Being designed for a senior corporate investment professional, the idea was to evoke a sense of sophistication and leadership through design. This led the team of Arriva Designs to opt for a design language which evoked a hint of retro glamour and juxtaposed elegance through multiple paradigms like forms and textures. Sprawling across, 2500 sq. ft., the essence of the same was reflected in every nook of the residence, from the living rooms to the bedrooms.

The residence began with a lobby area, embellished with patterned tiles and a bespoke console. With a mirrored wall on one side, the space created a sense of depth and dimension, amplifying the area. The large living area exuded a feeling of warmth and sophistication through its hues. Adorned with pristine white hues and pops of pastel tints in furniture, the space hinted at the idea of comfort with elegance. The sofa set with minimal design added to the design while pastel pink armchairs with sleek bases juxtaposed the space and lent a cohesive aura.

The sleek and edgy brass lines ran throughout the space and created a sense of unity in design. An elegant TV unit with marble wall panelling completed the living area with a sense of opulence. Adjacent to the TV unit, a bar area was designed with essential elements, for the client to enjoy evening sips whilst enjoying the scenic views. Further, transitioning to the dining area, it was adorned with rose gold hues with sleek chairs and pendant lights. The space was a mixture of design ideologies and sublime textures, which mimicked the idea of the Parisian effect.

Moving towards the private abodes, every room was designed to evoke the personality of the occupant. The master bedroom followed a refined look with white hues and metal edges, which adorned furniture and wall panellings. Engulfed in the idea of luxury, the room emanated ounces of style in every nook, from consoles to statement fixtures. The bathroom was a combination of wooden and stone textures in somber tones which created a simple look. The upscale brown tones covered the flooring and countertops with a natural effect and implied the essence of opulence in the space.

Further, the son’s bedroom was designed to match the vibe of the user through the bespoke design. Grey hues were integrated through furnishings and panelling. To add an industrial edge, MS was infused into the study area which created a bold presence. The third bedroom was a fusion of minimal aesthetics with pops of red hues. The bold jewel lines and a classy material palette made the elements interdependent on design. The bathrooms in every room were the epitome of opulence and grandeur with the use of textured marble and warm lighting.

In essence, the insightful execution of the residence portrayed a beholding sight of the space. Every single detail was customised to imbue a sense of perfection while perfectly aligning with the preferences of the client.
