Craving Pan-Asian? Megumi in Bandra is the place to be!

It’s not our first time hearing the term “Megumi,” but it is definitely our first time experiencing it as a place to indulge in the culinary delights. Translated literally as “blessing,” Megumi, nestled in the heart of Bandra, is a paragon of upscale Pan-Asian dining, where artful interiors blend with a serene ambiance. Designed by Minal Chopra, the 6,000 sq ft space draws upon the time-honoured Brazilian art of bamboo weaving.

The high ceilings create a sense of openness, complemented by lush greenery and detailed wooden accents. Warm lighting fills the space with a golden glow, highlighting the earthy tones of the decor and encouraging guests to relax. The seating is a mix of cosy chairs and wooden pieces, adding to the overall look of the restaurant. Additionally, the walls feature carefully arranged shelves that house the bar.

Expansive windows allow plenty of natural light to fill the interior during the day and offer diners stunning views of the city. As evening falls, the gentle lighting creates a warm atmosphere, perfect for impromptu get-togethers or relaxed meet-ups.

Megumi’s design masterfully conjoins modern aesthetics with nature-inspired motifs, resulting in a visually resplendent and calming ambiance. Every detail, from the fastidiously arranged decor to the adroitly adjusted lighting, has been deliberately chosen to offer a dining experience that enchants both the sight and the palate.

The culinary offerings at Megumi present a global adventure, Nikkei cuisine—a delightful combination of Japanese and Peruvian traditions. Guests can relish a remarkable variety of creative dishes, from ultra-fresh sashimi and carpaccio to juicy yakitori and robata-grilled specialties.

Boosting these culinary delights are Megumi’s signature cocktails, inspired by the Japanese ideas of Wabi Sabi and Kintsugi. The ‘Indie-Asian’ selection adds more richness to the menu, showcasing vibrant flavours from the Seven Sisters region and offering a unique twist to the overall dining experience.
