Theodoros Axouristos is the Managing Director of Alumil India, the fully-owned Indian subsidiary of Alumil Group – one of the global pioneers in designing and manufacturing of high-quality architectural aluminium systems. With a robust background as a Supply Chain Director in the building materials industry, Theodoros brings a wealth of experience to his current role as the Managing Director at Alumil India. In an indepth conversation with A+D, Theodoros Axouristos speaks at length about his vision for the brand, and its presence in India. Here’s an excerpt.

Alumil is present in over 60 countries, with manufacturing units in 12 countries. Tell us a little more about the brand’s global presence.
Our company is a prominent provider of architectural aluminium systems with a global presence and has an extensive network of over 10,000 partners across 32 subsidiaries worldwide and privately owned Sales and Distribution Stores (SDS). Our engineering base is strong in Greece, USA, Romania, Serbia, Dubai and India. With more than 30 years of experience, we create the world’s most advanced architectural systems for buildings that are both energy efficient and aesthetically pleasing. We are committed to meeting the diverse needs of a wide-ranging customer base on a global scale.

Top-notch aluminium solutions for windows, doors, facades, partitions, and outdoor solutions including curtain walls, frames, pergolas and fencing systems are all part of Alumil’s product line. Target segments include all residential, commercial and industrial projects, reflecting Alumil’s versatility and commitment to meeting the demands of different market segments.

Over the last eight years, Alumil India has successfully completed over 50 projects, and there are several more in the pipeline across the country. Across all our projects, focus on innovation is evident, with each offering reflecting cutting-edge design and engineering. These projects stand as a testament to our commitment to delivering excellence in every endeavour. We take pride in the quality of work we execute and some of our distinguished projects include: 25 South, Mumbai; Kukreja Infinity, Nagpur; W Resort, Goa; and GVK Sky City, Hyderabad. The parent company Alumil has iconic projects worldwide, such as Vancouver House in Canada, 60 Water Street in the USA, and the Five Palm Jumeirah Hotel and Resort in Dubai, as well as contributing to the Google office in New York.

The SUPREME S500 SlideAir version represents a revolutionary advancement in sliding system functionality. Leveraging innovative and patented gravity-defying magnetic levitation technology, this system minimizes the force needed to slide the sash, resulting in an exceptionally lightweight sash. Consequently, the operation of the system is markedly enhanced, offering unparalleled ease, smoothness, and quietness.

Over my tenure, I have witnessed Alumil undergo substantial growth. The brand has consistently evolved, expanding its global presence, diversifying its product portfolio and embracing innovation.
