Thoughtful design transforms the Zundal Corporate Office by Studio prAcademics

The corporate office is a symphony of public and private areas, intricately woven together to form a cohesive and dynamic environment. The spatial organization, tested meticulously to optimize available space, draws inspiration from the site’s periphery, resulting in a distinctive curvilinear structure. This design not only maximizes space efficiency but also creates a harmonious flow from public to private realms.

Zoning within the office is a testament to thoughtful design, incorporating a hierarchy of spaces and multiple courtyards that infuse vibrancy into the workplace. Radial divisions at acute angles delineate the areas, with a central hallway ramp overlooking intimate courts towards the west and a forecourt accessible to the public on the east. This forecourt not only provides a buffer from external disturbances but also acts as a protective landscape shield against vehicular movement and construction-related pollution.

The annular sector visible across the entire structure is a defining feature, showcasing the structure’s ability to ascend beyond human height. The circular ramp, gracefully integrated with existing trees, serves as an entrance, seamlessly blending with the natural surroundings. The inner radius of the skeleton ensures clear visibility of the entire site, while terracotta jalis on the west external face create a delightful ambiance for relaxation and enjoyment of open spaces.

Strategic orientation of the glass façade towards the east maximizes the influx of invigorating morning light, enhancing the interior ambiance and work productivity. Stepped slab construction connects rising spaces, providing a visually dynamic and interconnected structure. The frame construction cleverly integrates RCC for the lower part and M.S frame structure for the upper part and roof, creating a visually appealing and structurally sound composition.

Nature-inspired courtyards, named Circle of Nature, Pebble Court, Garden of Mosaics, Stone Garden, Garden of Sound, and Zen Court, are meticulously spaced between every two areas, ensuring abundant natural daylight permeates all spaces. These courtyards reflect the principles of fire, water, earth, air, and space, each with unique characteristics.

Ensuring the comfort of occupants, the structure is meticulously designed with no steps, providing easy access to all levels through the ramp. Specially designed horizontal louvers facilitate air circulation in the corridor, contributing to a refreshing and well-ventilated workspace.

In summary, the Zundal Corporate Office by Studio prAcademics is a testament to thoughtful design, merging aesthetics, functionality, and environmental consciousness to create a workplace that inspires collaboration, productivity, and a profound connection with nature.
