The Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Port Muziris by Edifice Consultants takes cues from the grand old Dutch colonial villas

Spread across 50,000 Sq.Ft, ‘Port Muziris, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Kochi’ designed by Edifice Consultants is an amalgamation of the rich history of the once great trading port at the Malabar Coast in the city of Muziris and the fictional story of Lila’s nostalgic memories of her childhood in Kochi.

Designed to replicate the patio in a traditional Kerala house, the big, open windows and the glass-top roof gives one the feeling of being outdoors even in the gorgeous Kerala monsoon. The entrance of the hotel takes inspiration from the grand old Dutch colonial villas of the past displaying the traditional wooden porte-cochere.

‘Port Muziris’ features a gym and an outdoor swimming pool looking onto the large swathes covered with coconut trees. The 150sq m multifunctional event hall is designed to accommodate all kinds of gatherings, corporate events, and intimate weddings as well.

Tasteful furniture with rattan-back couches and sleek, wooden light fixtures with gold accents and patterned flooring tiles are used to reminisce the vintage aesthetics. Pristine shades of white with muted brown and sudden bursts of color–bright yellow cushions and murals on the walls depict the lush flora surrounding the property.
