#YoungIcons2024 Design Doodle Studio crafts experiences that resonate, inspire and leave a lasting impact

Design Doodle Studio, founded in 2017 by Vijay and Maha, is the realisation of a dream built on passion, resilience and a deep belief in the power of design. Vijay’s bold creativity pushes the boundaries of what’s possible, while Maha’s thoughtful storytelling weaves emotional depth into every space. Together, they create more than just beautiful environments—they craft experiences that resonate, inspire and leave a lasting impact. Each project is a manifestation of their shared vision for turning spaces into meaningful, soulful havens that connect with people on a profound level.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:

At the studio, design is a language that speaks to the soul. They believe that the spaces they create should do more than just serve a function—they should stir emotion, inspire and foster a deep sense of connection. Every project is a journey to create environments that not only respond to their client’s needs but elevate their everyday experiences. Their aim is to leave a profound, lasting impression by creating spaces that feel alive, intentional and deeply personal.

BREAKTHROUGH PROJECT:

La La Land is a project that truly reflects the heart of their design approach—bold, fluid and full of character. It’s a space where architecture and interior design come together, offering an experience that feels fresh and unexpected. Encouraged by their client to explore their creative boundaries, they embraced fluid forms and playful details that give the space a unique and eclectic personality. With the architecture nearly complete and the interior
design taking shape, La La Land is on its way to becoming a stunning fusion of imagination and craftsmanship.

FUTURE VISION:

The future of design holds immense promise, and they believe the next 5-10 years will see a significant shift toward unique, personalised spaces. As people travel more and gain exposure through social media platforms, they are becoming increasingly designaware. This has led to a growing appreciation for designs that reflect individual personalities, moving away from the generic. This shift is exciting for the design industry, as it opens new avenues for creativity, allowing designers to craft spaces that are truly unique to their clients.

“In addition to this, we see technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), playing a key role in shaping the future of design. As a studio, we are in the process of incorporating AI software into our practice. The possibilities are incredibly exciting, and we look forward to harnessing these tools to bring even more personalised, creative and efficient design solutions to life,” said Vijay and Maha.
