Academic Qualification: Master’s of Architecture at The University of Pennsylvania (PennDesign) with a Minor in Historic Preservation and Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design, focused on adaptive re-use.

About the Design Firm: ABM (formerly ABM Architects) is a Mumbai based Architecture & Interior Design Firm. Alfaz Miller established ABM Architects soon after receiving his Bachelor of Architecture from J.J. School of Architecture in 1972; his daughter Aahana Miller now manages the practice. ABM’s wide experience spans major institutional and corporate projects, private buildings, offices, airport interiors, hotels, health, residential spaces, heritage and conservation work. The firm enjoys a reputation for architecture and design solutions that are varied, comprehensive, and most importantly, client-focused. Design Philosophy: Aahana’s design philosophy is echoed in a Bungalow at Jaipur and the Bengaluru
International Airport T1 Domestic Lounge, where the use of colour and a combination of eclectic materials with wood brings in a blend of Indian aesthetics.

Breakthrough Project: BIAL 080 Domestic Lounge Bangalore International Airport T1.

Dream Project: I would love to work on a socially relevant restoration project in India.

Inspiration: Travel and art.

Current Projects: Bungalow at Shanti Niketan, Delhi and multiple projects at Mumbai International Airport T1 & T2.

Dream collaboration: I would be thrilled to collaborate with Yayoi Kusama.

Biggest challenge: I think it is to find a balance between client’s expectations and reality.
