kaviar:collaborative’s design process involves a mental algorithm that considers three key variables – the site, its context, and the user. This approach allows them to define boundaries within which they can experiment and play, resulting in unique spatial experiences tailored to each project’s requirements.
“Architecture is the cause and effect of anything and everything one can feel. Sharp lines, smooth curves, rough edges, voids – each element births a unique thought that seamlessly glides from one node to another resulting in an explosion of emotions within. That is Architecture to us – a sensuous sufi poem recited by a raggedy saint. We believe Architecture is the manifestation of the five senses in a built form. It lives within us and takes the form of our alter egos. As such, Architecture forms the third and the most important pillar on which we build this collaborative,” share Kasturi and Vineet of kaviar:collaborative.

Year of completion: 2024
Design Concept: Monochromatic colour scheme dominated by dark tones
Material Palette: Textural materials like stone, gabion walls, and concrete for an industrial edge
What we heart: “batcave meets gentleman’s club”
Charlee by kaviar:collaborative, a clandestine speakeasy hidden above a Bandra wine shop, offers an immersive experience fusing dark tones, textures, and modern sophistication akin to a “batcave meets gentleman’s club.” Enveloped in mystery and allure, the monochromatic design features industrial materials like stone and concrete juxtaposed with sleek, polished surfaces. Steel and brass accents punctuate the brooding atmosphere, balanced by warm lighting that creates an intimate setting. Transcending conventional bars, kaviar:collaborative blends ruggedness with refinement, darkness with elegance at Charlee, transporting guests into a world of intrigue and escapism.
