Designers Group keeps sustainability as a key focus while outlining astounding hospitality marvels

Established in 1988 by Khozema and Sujata Chitalwala, Designers Group has carved a niche for itself as an internationally acclaimed design firm. Their design philosophy revolves around the harmonious coexistence of luxury and simplicity, two seemingly contrasting elements that they masterfully blend in their creations. The turning point for Designers Group came when they collaborated with Taj Hotels and Resorts, granting them a directional focal point on hospitality design. Khozema firmly believes that “being simple is difficult,” a philosophy evident in their designs.

Nestled against the Aravalli hills, Devi Ratn is a boutique hotel by Designers Group that eloquently weaves the narrative of Jaipur’s rich heritage through an exceptionally non-traditional lens. The new wing at Devi Ratn emerges as a seamless continuum of the previous endeavor, aligning the novel theme with prevailing elements. The reception area harmonizes traditional and innovative design, while the Pan-Asian restaurant celebrates Oriental heritage and contemporary aesthetics. The conference rooms feature Jaipur motifs on the panels, and the Jiva Spa integrates tent structures with terracotta-clad walls and tensile roofing. The guest rooms are graced with reimagined Jaipur art, architecture, and culture, highlighting the ‘Ratn’ theme with magnificent adornments created using traditional Rajasthani mirror work. This boutique hotel skillfully fuses tradition and innovation, truly acting as a vibrant canvas portraying the dynamic essence of the Pink City.
