PROJECT IN FOCUS – Riverview Apartment
Location: Chennai
Typology: Residential
Design Concept: A space where diverse design preferences coexist
Material Palette: Mirror installations and bespoke brass doors in the living space
What we heart: Clean lines and neutral tones
Designing the two-story apartment for a family of four was more than just a renovation, it was about intertwining different personalities of each family member into a cohesive whole. Situated in a serene neighborhood with river views, the apartment came with a challenge of compounded family’s diverse preferences for their personal spaces. The lower floor with neutral tones and clean lines is designated for public areas. Custom touches like mirrored installations and bespoke brass doors add personality while demarcating open-plan living areas. The upper floor, on the other hand, caters to private spaces, indulging each family member’s interests and tastes. Throughout the apartment, a subtle unifying thread runs, connecting diverse elements through colour, art and materials. Walls that once separated now bridge. The formal living room with arches and artworks, the family room upstairs and the puja room foster relations.
